Mpox

As of 28 August 2025, a total of three cases of clade Ib mpox have been reported in Turkey since the beginning of 2025. The most recently detected case, diagnosed in late July 2025, reported a history of travel to the United Arab Emirates and Egypt. Two retrospectively reported cases reported a history of travel to Uganda.

No vaccine — how to stay safe

Avoid close skin-to-skin contact with anyone who has a rash or sores, steer clear of wild animals, and wash hands regularly.
