Travel jabs for Old Trafford, close to home

We're Urmston Travel Clinic, run from Davyhulme Pharmacy a short way west of Old Trafford. Pop over before your trip for your vaccines and a friendly, no-nonsense chat.

If you live around Old Trafford — near the football and cricket grounds, or over towards Gorse Hill, Firswood and Trafford Park — you don't have to head into the city centre for your travel vaccines. We're a small, neighbourly pharmacy team at Davyhulme Pharmacy, 179–181 Canterbury Road in Urmston, just a short run to the west, and we see travellers from your side of Trafford all the time.

Whether it's a beach holiday, a long-haul adventure or a trip to see family abroad, our pharmacist will look at where you're going and what you'll be doing, then sort the right jabs and travel-health advice. No jargon, no rush, and most vaccines done in the same visit — with parking close by and no city-centre traffic to battle.

Getting to us from Old Trafford

From Old Trafford you're heading west, away from the stadiums and out through Stretford towards Urmston and Davyhulme. Follow Chester Road and the A56 down towards Stretford, then carry on to Canterbury Road — you'll find us near Davyhulme Park, postcode M41 0SE. If you'd rather use the motorway, the M60 (junctions 9 and 10) loops you round to Urmston quickly. There's parking close to the pharmacy, so it's an easy in-and-out — much simpler than circling for a space near the grounds on a match day.

Coming by tram or train

Old Trafford sits right on the Metrolink, with the Old Trafford and Trafford Bar stops on your doorstep, and Urmston rail station is a short journey out of Manchester on the line through Trafford. If you'd sooner leave the car at home, the tram and bus links across the borough make getting over to us straightforward. Just tell us roughly when you're coming and we'll have everything ready, so you're not hanging about once you arrive.

Areas around Old Trafford we look after

As well as Old Trafford itself, we regularly see travellers from Gorse Hill, Firswood, Trafford Park and the streets out towards Stretford and the Bridgewater Canal. Plenty of people who work over at the retail and business parks near the Trafford Centre call in too. Wherever you are on that side of Trafford, the clinic is only a short trip away — and you'll always see a pharmacist who knows the area.
