Chikungunya

As of 25 January 2026, a total of 1,457 suspected cases of chikungunya have been reported in Cuba since the start of the year. 51,217 suspected cases (46 death) were reported during 2025.

Dengue

As of 11 January 2026, 202 suspected cases of dengue have been reported in Cuba since the start of the year. A total of 30,692 cases (19 deaths) were reported during 2025. Serotypes DENV-1, DENV-2 and DENV-3 were reported.

Carried by mosquitoes that bite in the daytime. Cover up, use a DEET repellent and pick rooms with screens or air-conditioning.
