Lassa fever
As of 10 May 2026, a total of 793 confirmed Lassa fever cases, with 5,034 suspected, five probable cases and 204 deaths, have been reported across 23 states in Nigeria for 2026. This includes 45 cases in health workers.

cVDPV3
As of 4 March 2026, a case of circulating vaccine-derived poliovirus type 3 (cVDPV3) has been reported with an onset of paralysis reported on 3 January 2026. Five cases of cVDPV3 were reported in Nigeria during 2025.

Dengue
Health authorities in Nigeria state that a total of 735 (219 confirmed) dengue cases, with two deaths, were reported between January and November 2025. Most cases were reported in Edo (537 cases) and Sokoto (96 cases) states.
Cholera
Between 1 January and 24 December 2025, a total of 22,196 cases of cholera (505 deaths) have been reported in Nigeria.
